This happy yellow tote bag is made from sunny yellow leather and red suede, and features the front of a paper lego-store bag under clear plastic for weather protection.

The tote is 12.75″ x 12.75″x 5″ deep, with 2 handle lengths, one for over the shoulder carrying, rising 15″ from the top lip of the bag, and one for hand holding, rising 6″ from the top lip.

The bag is lined with lego-print calico, has 1 built-in slip pocket on the side, and a removable set of pockets that snap to the back of the bag. This bag also has a snap closure, to keep it from gaping too much when you’ve got it full of groceries.

The leather is a soft, but sturdy 5oz veg tan, dyed a happy sunny yellow, with the suede trim being dyed a primary red. This bag is spot-clean only, as the front of the bag has a paper lego-store bag attached to it. Even though the paper is covered by the clear plastic, it’s still stitched on, which leaves small holes for water to get in, so no throwing this in the washing machine, sorry!

The entirety of this bag, with the exception of the removable calico pocket, is hand sewn with strong nylon thread that is made for hand sewing leather together. The stitching holes were all punched in a straight line, but the nature of using this softer leather with the suede means that some of the stitching wouldn’t stay in line, so some of the lines look a little crooked. The stitches go through all layers, regardless of appearance, so the bag is Very Secure, and nothing will fall out even when carrying something heavy.
